The Vision

Our clients fell in love with the architecture of the home, its easy flow, and the way it invited people in, whether for everyday family life, poolside afternoons, or long evenings with friends. They wanted to keep that sense of openness, but make each space feel more distinct: separate but together, with room to gather, unwind, and do different things all at once.

Inspired by the existing colors and textures of the home, we layered vibrant hues, tactile furnishings, light fixtures with organic, playful forms, and lush indoor plants. The vision was to create a home that felt welcoming and soulful, where the original material palette could shine with more softness, more intention, and more personality.

Why It Works

The finished home feels warm, welcoming, and deeply personal. By thoughtfully zoning the shared living spaces and layering soft textures against the home’s existing stone, wood, and soaring ceilings, we transformed what once felt grand and severe into something more contemporary, comfortable, and connected. Each room now has its own rhythm, while still contributing to a strong sense of cohesion throughout the home.

What makes this project especially meaningful is how deeply the clients’ story is woven into it. From the commissioned murals in the office and guest bathroom to the treasures collected on their travels through Japan, Spain, and Morocco, each element brings memory and identity into the design, ensuring the home always feels distinctly theirs.
