MILLER PAINT BATHROOM
COMMERCIAL INTERIOR DESIGN
Portland, Oregon, a city that is just as interesting above ground as it is underground, was the inspiration for this bathroom design; with its copper-toned, curvilinear skyline and Shanghai Tunnel system (found under Miller's Grand Ave building) it's bursting with nooks, alleys and off the beaten path locales begging to be explored - much like the Cole & Son Fornasetti Mediterranea wallpaper that would be used above the chair rail.
The city scape is complemented by Clayhaus Hexagon in Coral on the floor; the waterproof Anaglypta Caiger wallpaper takes your eye all the way above the city to lights and stars represented through the use of Cole & Son Geometric II wallpaper on the ceiling.
The chosen moon shaped light fixture continues to play with the idea of a night sky and the familiarity of curved lines found in both Portland (e.g. the Fremont bridge) and the aforementioned Mediterranea wallpaper; it's then finished off with a wall mount sink with brass legs and a Crosswater London faucet in unlacquered brass which would patina over time.
